A little About Who We Are……

Inner City Psychology is an independent psychology practice. Its vision is to provide the most appropriate and effective assistance for your individual needs and concerns whilst utilising evidence-based assessment and therapy.

At Inner City Psychology our mission is to promote healthy behavior and attitudes, to activate individual strengths enabling individuals to have the skills to live happier and fulfilling lives. We understand that there are times in life when individuals may feel troubled, unsure about how to solve a problem or may be feeling stuck in life. Inner City Psychology is here to provide support, discuss and manage life’s issues.

Daniela Ligorio

Daniela Ligorio is a fully Registered Psychologist who has worked in educational, community, and private organisational settings. Daniela is skilled in both Mental Health Issues and Well-being. Daniela is committed to providing psychological and counselling services for adolescents and young persons, as well as adults and older adults. Daniela also has specialist skills in working with children and adolescents, including specific learning difficulties, learning disability, and giftedness, and providing support for their parents/ carers and families.

Daniela’s therapeutic approach is centered on developing a strong empathetic rapport with the client in which they are heard within a secure, confidential and non-judgmental environment. Therapy is tailored therapy for each client’s unique needs, based upon the principles of goal- directed and outcome focused therapies. Daniela uses a range of psychotherapies including CBT, psycho-education, solution-focused therapy, interpersonal therapy, exposure therapy, relaxation techniques, mindfulness cognitive based therapy and family therapy.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Social Science (Psychology), University of Western Sydney
  • Postgraduate Diploma of Psychology, University of Western Sydney
  • Psychologists Registration Supervision Program, Australian College of Applied Psychology
  • Registered Psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia (PBA),
  • Associate Member of Australian Psychological Society (APS)
  • Registered with Workcover NSW as Worker’s Compensation Psychologist
